FIRST, A LITTLE BACKGROUND…
The Discoveries of Stephan Perdekamp
Stephan Perdekamp is the creator of Kalliso Techniques and it’s parent program PEM. Thirty years ago, Perdekamp recognised a critical need for a better understanding and management of human emotions.
He embarked on a decades-long period of research, which led to the unprecedented discovery of the biological nature and function of emotions. He identified six fundamental emotional movements essential for survival and navigating life. Each of these Six Basic Emotions originates from neurological access points in the body and compels the nervous system to move in particular ways.
The biological functions of emotion are the same in every person, making emotion an innate universal language that transcends culture and personal experiences. It is only through learned suppression that these movements become unavailable to us.
Contrary to the belief that expressing emotions can lead to outbursts, Perdekamp found that restoring access to these fundamental movements in a safe and methodical manner in fact yielded more joy, ease, confidence, reduced tension and fatigue, a greater connection to self and others, and reconnection to a sense of purpose.
He created a step-by-step methodology to safely teach individuals to identify, access, manage and harness their innate biological emotion system, which has since been taught to thousands of people around the world.
